About this Project

“Castleford railway station is a railway station serving the town of Castleford in West Yorkshire. It lies on the Hallam and the Pontefract Lines just south east of Leeds.

The station was originally built in 1871, and ECSL were engaged by our client to design the redevelopment scheme to ensure that the station is fit for modern usage.”

Roles and Responsibility

ECSL undertook all elements of the multi-disciplinary design in accordance with Eurocode, Network Rail and Highways England design standards for station buildings, as well as the surveys required, design management and integration and temporary works design.
