About this Project

This feasibility study is part of a wider investigation into improving the National Cycle Network (NCN) through Mirfield and linking two existing sections of traffic-free path that approach the centre of town from the west and the north east.

Roles and Responsibility

ECSL were commissioned to undertake a feasibility study looking creating several new links to existing paths to create a new connection that will form the Mirfield Cycle Path. After undertaking a site visit, and options report was produced, which required engagement with the local community, Sustrans and other third-party stakeholders such as Network Rail.
