Nene Valley Railway Inspections and Assessments

ECSL have been engaged to undertake the inspection and assessment of all railway bridges along the Nene Valley heritage railway line, originally constructed by the London and Birmingham Railway (L&BR) company in 1847.

Our skilled bridge examiners and specialists in heritage bridge structures delivered the inspections utilizing a mixture of physical examination and photogrammetry, saving time on site and reducing the overall cost to the client. Using the photogrammetric survey data, the same engineers that undertook the exams went on to complete the structural assessments, reducing the data degradation that can sometimes occur between site and office based activities.
