About this Project

Rhondda Cynon Taf Borough Council are responsible for the aset management of a large number of highway bridge structures located in and around the Rhondda Valley, many of which are remnants of the former extensive railway network and therefore of considerable age.

Roles and Responsibility

ECSL were responsible for the inspection and assessment of a number of bridges in support of Rhondda Cynon Taf Borough Council. These works involved on site inspections and load capacity assessment calculations, as well as the production of Bridge Condition Index (BCI) scoring sheets to aid Rhondda Cynon Taff Borough Council with repair works prioritisation.
