In 2019 Shining Bridge, which spans the River Derwent in the Peak District, was severely damaged by heavy flooding, resulting in the loss of several of its river-span piers. These were replaced in 2020 and ECSL were engaged to undertake a new bridge load assessment in accordance with CS454 to confirm the bridge could carry delivery lorries once more
ECSL were responsible for scoping the inspection for assessment activities and undertaking the assessment of the bridge structure
