Completed in 1831, Whorlton Bridge is Britain’s 2nd oldest suspension bridge relying on original chainwork after the union bridge over the River Tweed.
ECSL have been responsible for the design proposals and feasibility study to repair the 183 ft long suspension bridge.
ECSL were subcontracted to Taziker and have been responsible for all elements of the design and assessment works including providing site engineers to provide technical services during physical investigation and repair works
